If you do bad things for good reasons, does that make you a bad person? 

That’s the question that Niall Mason has been asking himself for years. 

He grew up poor with an abusive father and has lied, stolen, and cheated so that he and his sister could have a better life. Now they’re thousands of miles away but he still can’t seem to shake those old tendencies. 

He’s a boxer, training at the famous Kings Gym, but he wonders if this is really what he’s meant to do with his life. It just feels like some important part is missing. 

When he sees his favorite waitress getting harassed by her landlord, he can’t help but step in. 

Everly Griggs has struggled her whole life. She’s used to not depending on anyone. Maybe that’s why she doesn’t trust when Niall steps in to save her. 

He’s just supposed to be a customer, someone she sees once or twice a week. So why can’t she get him out of her head?
